Who I Am

I’m a full stack developer, technologist, and lifelong learner. I ship thoughtful, reliable software. I understand how to bridge the gap between experimentation and production. I work comfortably across the stack, and I bring a critical, pragmatic lens to tools, languages, and process.

I started out in an unlikely place: working a corporate bank job. There, I taught myself Visual Basic to automate repetitive Excel tasks, not knowing it would become a life-changing moment. That spark turned into a passion. I followed it through Ruby on Rails, and eventually into Computer Science degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate levels from Trent University.

Since then, I’ve worked across domains with a growing focus on ML-adjacent development, building the frameworks and infrastructure around machine learning models that reduce degradation, accelerate time-to-inference, and improve accuracy and interpretability.

What I Do

I build products, systems, and tools at the intersection of software engineering and machine learning. I specialize in:

  • Full stack web development from frontend UI/UX to backend architecture and APIs
  • ML infrastructure including model deployment, performance monitoring, and lifecycle management
  • Developer tooling improving internal velocity, automation, and reliability

I’m particularly drawn to challenges where software engineering principles can bring structure, scalability, and stability to data science workflows, helping ML systems make the leap from prototype to production.

I also focus on collaboration, translating technical complexity into shared understanding across teams and disciplines.

How I Think

I believe good engineering is less about hype and more about discipline. I'm interested in how functional programming can reduce bugs, improve reliability, and make code easier to reason about.

My approach is grounded in clarity, maintainability, and intent. Whether I’m building an API or wrangling ML pipelines, I’m thinking about long-term sustainability and the developer experience.
